Building A Better Future through The Book Donation Programme
In mid-2014, BDO in Indonesia launched a book donation programme as part of the company's ongoing commitment to supporting educational development and promoting public literacy. In collaboration with Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah, Bookhive Community, and Ruang Baca at Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park, Blok M, the initiative involved the distribution of books collected by BDO employees to children and public spaces, ensuring wider community access to reading materials.
In addition to donating books, several BDO Indonesia employees actively participated in the programme by engaging in activities such as playing with children, cleaning and organising the donated books. This initiative reflects the company's core social value of "People Helping People’ by emphasising the importance of quality education and fostering a love of reading within the community.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, BDO in Indonesia remains committed to making a positive social impact by continuing to engage directly with local communities. By strengthening social values and promoting access to education, BDO in Indonesia aims to inspire other organisations and individuals to take an active role in supporting equal access to education across Indonesia, creating a lasting positive impact for future generations.
