BDO in Indonesia Initiates Green Environment Mangrove Planting to Mark World Environment Day
To commemorate World Environment Day, BDO in Indonesia initiated a Green Environment Mangrove Planting Programme in the Tanjung Elang Waters, Pramuka Island, located in the Seribu Islands National Park. The event was attended by the CEO of BDO in Indonesia, partners, directors and several other BDO in Indonesia's staff. The initiation of this activity marks BDO's commitment in Indonesia to preserve and restore the natural environment.
The event began with a beach clean-up on Pramuka Island, followed by the planting of 300 mangrove seedlings. In addition, 35 turtles were released into the sea and activities were carried out to restore damaged coral reef ecosystems. All of these activities are part of BDO in Indonesia's commitment to environmental and sustainability issues and support BDO International's goal of achieving net zero carbon by 2050. This initiative serves as a long-term vision of a thriving, sustainable planet for future generations.
Through these activities, BDO in Indonesia is not only contributing to environmental sustainability, but also raising awareness and concern among employees about the importance of preserving nature. We are committed to continue our sustainable efforts for a greener and healthier future. BDO in Indonesia hopes that this initiative can inspire more companies and individuals to participate in protecting and preserving the environment for the common good.
