The Meaning of Innovation Day and Kartini Day for Us

Tuesday, 21 April 2021 is a special day for the world, Indonesia as well as for BDO in Indonesia. On this day, the world is celebrating Creativity and Innovation Day while in Indonesia, the people are celebrating Kartini Day. For Indonesian, R.A Kartini is a special figure since she is the symbol of Indonesia Women’s Emancipation Movement.
This day is also a special day for BDO in Indonesia, especially for one of our youngest female director, Arina Mardiyah. Arina gets the opportunities to present her ideas and innovation in 2021 Innovation Seed Fund Programme, conducted by BDO Global. Innovation Seed Fund Programme is a dedicated accelerator programme designed to uplift solutions, maximize their impact and affect meaningful change through funding and mentorship. The purpose of this program is to support innovators at all stages of their life cycle, from pilot-testing through to larger scale implementation.
On the pitch day of 2021 Innovation Seed Fund Programme, Arina, who is currently one of Advisory Partner at BDO in Indonesia, presented the implementation of gamification in employee assessment process. Arina, who has been named as one of the Indonesia Young Women Future Business Leaders by SWA Magazine and listed as Top 75 HR Leaders in Indonesia, supported by her team have successfully developed a game-based assessment which result is unbiased and more objective. Hopefully, her efforts and achievements can be an encouragement for other young Indonesian women to grow themselves and innovate new things. Happy World Creativity and Innovation Day 2021.
