Eddie graduated from Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia, major in Accountancy in 1975. He started his career in 1971 as Junior Auditor for Garuda Indonesia Airlines and followed with other multinational companies and state owned company appointments. In early 1982 he was appointed as Control Officer of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Manila, Philippines and promoted as Audit Specialist until he resigned toward the end of 1986 and return to Indonesia and working with P.T. Humpuss Group until 1988. In February 1988, Eddie was appointed as Finance Director of P.T. Mega Eltra and in July 1991 he was promoted as President Director of P.T. Cipta Niaga-a state owned trading company until October 2002. In the professional and other related field, he is the founder and President of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) – Indonesia Chapter since 1989 until January 2007 and subsequently was elected of Chairman of Advisory Board of IIA Indonesia and as of 1991 he was also appointed as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) in charge for the Institutional Relationship and Organisation and in April 1999 until May 2003, Eddie was elected as Chairman of the Compartment Management Accountant of the Indonesian Institute of Accountant and represent IAI in the Forum for Corporate Governance in Indonesia (FCGI), whereas he is also the Chairman of FCGI since February 2000 up to now. And in the year of 2007 Eddie was also appointed as member of Appeal Committee of the Indonesian Institute of Accountant (IAI) until the year of 2010. His achievements in the Internal Auditing for the banking industry was earmarked by the implementation of the Standard of Internal Auditing for the Banking Industry in Indonesia (SPFAIB) in 1995 prepared by the Institute of Internal Auditors – Indonesia Chapter and Bank Indonesia and promoting the function of Audit Committee in the Banking Industry in Indonesia for the first time. In November 1997 Eddie was also appointed as a member of Membership Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc-Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA until 2000 and in July 2001 he was also appointed as Regional Director of Asia Pacific the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc. until 2002. Eddie is an Audit Committee member at P.T ANEKA TAMBANG (ANTAM) a Gold and Nickel Mining Industry as of September 2004 until August 2008 and also an Audit Committee member at P.T. BANK EKSPOR INDONESIA as of November 2004 up to now and the name of the Bank was changed to INDONESIA EXIMBANK as of September 2009. As of July 2003, Eddie join BDO Indonesia and now he is Partner in Business Development. Eddie is also a speaker for several seminars related to internal auditing and corporate governance both local and international as well.
